Green value chains based on biogas production from high-fat raw materials.
Multiple actors want to establish biogas plants in Møre and Romsdal. This project will look at different high-fat raw materials and how they work in a biogas reactor.
Several different biogas plants have been projected in Møre og Romsdal during the last years. Some of them are close to realizatio. This project will look at different regional and/or high-fat residual raw materials and how their properties and gas potential can influence the production and profitability of biogas plants. NIBIO will run lab-scale tests both in Tingvoll and in Ås on dead fish material from MOWI, sludge from the Tine Elnesvågen Dairy facility, residues from meat production and an effluent from a wool scouring plant planned by Tingvoll Ull.
NORSØK will perform calculations and evaluate value chains both for small and larger biogas plants (like Hustadvika Biokraft) and for etablishing new green businesses that can cooperate with other businesses in Tingvoll.
