Wood chip network
During 2022, wood chip heating enthusiasts in Møre og Romsdal will be gathered through two inspection trips and a seminar. The goal is to create meeting places to share knowledge and create networks.
Chip heating is a renewable energy production that is mainly used for the production of heat. For many landowners and farmers, wood chips is an energy source that is easily accessible and does not compete with construction timber or areas for food production. Wood chips can also be created from waste wood. Chip heating is suitable for both farm facilities or large commercial facilities.
It is important to share knowledge and experiences between those who already have wood chip heating systems, those who are wondering about building, professionals, administration and decision makers. Inspections to look at facilities with lectures from those who own or operate the facilities will contribute to important knowledge sharing, at the same time it will contribute to building networks. In this project, two inspections and one seminar will be carried out. The first inspection will take place in Ørsta-Sykkylven in February 2022. The second inspection in Sunndal-Surnadal in early autumn 2022. Seminars are conducted simultaneously both physically and online at the end of the year.
