Education on ectrical safety
All 6th graders at Nordmøre's primary schools are given electrical safety training at Tingvoll Solar and Bioenergy centre.
Practical approach
All students in the 6th grade in the primary schools attend a 3-hour program at the Tingvoll Solar and Bioenergy centre. The topic is theoretical and practical training in electricity and safety, with the main emphasis on contact hazards and fire hazards.
The students get presented pictures of situations that you need to be aware of, which we discuss around. Further, they get to play in our electrical lab with toys that show, among other things, which substances conduct electricity.
They also get to explore potential danger zones in a bedroom, identifying flammable elements, They also get to know the difference between an energy saving bulb and a halogen bulb .
Touring at Tingvoll farm

They then get to play in our electrical lab with toys that show, among other things, which substances conduct electricity. The walk through a scene, a"bedroom" with flammable elements, and they learn the difference between an energy saving bulb and a halogen bulb.
In addition, the students get an introduction to renewable energy, with the main emphasis on solar and bioenergy, and a tour of the barn, wildlife and garden at Tingvoll Farm. The activities outside on the farm vary with the season and weather.
