Soil health in practice
Good soil health is characterised by the fact that the soil provides good conditions for plant growth and soil life. This can best be done by adapting soil health promotion measures to the farm's resources and production.
Soil health in practice
In the project “Soil health in practice” advisors and farmers will collaborate with researchers to assess and improve soil health and carbon management at farm level. Farm surveys are planned on host farms, in addition to larger open soil health workshops with many participants, in the three productions of forage, cereal and vegetables.
Knowledge and exchange of experience
The soil health workshops will be arenas for dissemination and exchange of experience in soil health promotion measures/efforts and carbon management. They will be arranged within each of the three productions, and for relevant actors, such as farmers, advisors and others together. There will also be produced popular science papers and film clips on soil health and soil health promotion.
What is relevant on my farm
The goal is for the participants, especially farmers, to find relevant practical measures that they can use in their production and on their farms under Norwegian conditions.
